National Scrollathon

America’s Cultural Project for the 250th Anniversary

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, we’re uniting the country, one story, one scroll at a time.

The National Scrollathon is creating 56 collaborative legacy artworks, one for every state, every U.S. territory, and Washington, D.C., to be unveiled at the Kennedy Center in 2026 as part of a campus-wide exhibition.

This is the most ambitious project we’ve ever taken on, and we’re almost there.

Over the past five years, we’ve led Scrollathons in 33 states and 4 territories, working with 5,382 participants from all across the country, young and old, rural and urban, from every kind of community. Each of them contributed their voice, their creativity, and their story.

Our goal now is to complete the remaining 19 locations by March 2026.

We’ve raised $3 million so far. We’re looking for the final $1 million to complete the project and ensure every part of America is represented.

Your support will help make that possible.

Together, we can finish what we started and celebrate the creativity and shared purpose that unite us.

Let’s do this together.
