National Scrollathon
America’s Cultural Project for the 250th Anniversary
In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, support Scrollathon®—a national project bringing people together through art, storytelling, and connection.
Our goal is to create 56 collaborative legacy artworks—one for each of the 50 states, 5 U.S. territories, and Washington, D.C.—to be unveiled at the Kennedy Center in 2026.
This is the most ambitious project we've ever undertaken—and we’re almost there.
The clock is ticking. Our deadline is March of 2026.
We’ve engaged thousands of participants across the country—ensuring that every corner of America is represented in this historic moment.
Over the past five years we have completed Scrollathons for 33 States and 4 Territories and need to fund the remaining 19. We’ve raised $3.5 million. We need $1 million more to finish the journey.

Major Gifts
Platinum Champion – $100,000
Fully funds Scrollathon workshops, public programming, and legacy artwork creation for 200 participants in a state or U.S. territory and helps bring these the artworks to the Kennedy Center.
Gold Visionary – $50,000
Fully funds Scrollathon workshops, public programming, and legacy artwork creation for 100 participants in a state or U.S. territory.
Silver Partner – $25,000
Provides matching funds for Scrollathon workshops, public programming, and legacy artwork creation for 100 participants in a state or U.S. territory.
Bronze Supporter – $10,000
Funds a Scrollathon session for 25 participants, giving a community group the opportunity to be part of America’s Cultural Project.
Leadership Circle
Keystone Contributor – $5,000
Supports regional Scrollathon team and helps amplify local stories on a national stage.
Catalyst – $1,000
Ignites a Scrollathon program in a new community, helping to activate stories and creative expression across America.
Community Builders
Sustainer – $500
Helps sustain our national impact through tools, travel, and training.
Builder – $250
Supports hands-on workshops where participants transform fabric and story into collaborative artwork.
Advocate – $100
Helps share a participant’s story through art, photography, and video — bringing their voice to the national stage.
Friends of the Scroll
Friend – $50
Helps bring the Scrollathon experience to classrooms and community centers.
Connector – $25
Supports materials that spark creativity and connection.
Story Supporter – $10
Helps share one American story through our campaign.
Ally – $5
Every gift helps us unite America through art.
